Bucket List Adventures // Exploring our City

by - January 02, 2015

After getting married and moving to a brand new city as a couple this past fall, the hubs and I decided we not only needed to get to know this place we now live, but continue to ensure as a now married couple that we were still bringing the fun and adventure of dating life to our relationship.

Thus, a few months after we moved, we sat down and created a "Date Idea Bucket List" comprised of 30 different things we wanted to do within our first year of living together as a married couple in our new home.
The following is what we came up with.

Our Bucket List in no particular order:

1. Take in the city at the top of a skyscraper
2. Hike along local waterfalls
3. Attend a hockey game
4. See a musical
5. Attend an outdoor concert
6. Go lawn bowling
7. Run a 5k
8. Go on a brewery tour
9. Shop at a local market
10. Get lost in the Skyway
11. Participate in outdoor yoga
12. Play in an ice castle
13. Ride a roller coaster
14. Check out a local winery
15. Wine and painting date
16. Visit an aquarium
17. Go to the zoo
18. Go to a baseball game
19. Go snowmobiling
20. Check out a Holiday Village at Christmas
21. Go snowshoeing
22. Attend a Pride Parade
23. Bike along the city
24. Take a cooking class
25. Go on a local tour
26. Go fishing
27. Go hiking
28. Go on a dinner cruise
29. Jump at an indoor trampoline park
30. Wander around a new city in our area

Here is what we have already accomplished.

See a musical. Check.
A locally written one at that.

Shop (and eat) at a local market. Check.

Check out a local winery. Check.
My sister and her bf visited for the weekend and a tasting sesh was in order.

Visit a Holiday Village at Christmas. Check.
Nothing like the feel of a German village at the holidays. Hot mulled cider? I think so.

We officially have until 8-1-15 to accomplish our list.
So much to do, so little time. But we are looking forward to the challenge, and it is my hope to continue to update our list and share photos of each adventure as a way of not only documenting all of our fun, but inspiring ideas in all of you for adventure-filled dating with your hubs as well.

If you ever find yourself moving to a new city and/or even looking for ways to further explore your current city, I would recommend creating a bucket or adventure list of your own. It is a great way to think of things to do when you have guests or a free weekend, and it can be easily created by searching city pages online and asking others for recommendations.
